Kaleb Dahlgren beats the odds. Diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of four, Dahlgren was told he would never succeed in hockey. Dahlgren turned that into motivation, and he’s been taking people along with him ever since. You may know him as one of the survivors of the 2018 Humboldt Broncos bus crash, but Dahlhgren has been demonstrating resilience since that diabetic diagnosis. His own struggles even inspired him to create the program Dahlgren’s Diabeauties. And, in 2018, was presented the Canadian Volunteer Award for Emerging Leader of the Prairies because of his relentless community work. Graduating from York University with a Commerce Degree, Dahlgren is now on the road to becoming a chiropractor, while also speaking about his bestselling book, Crossroads.
