Bio: Dr. Keely Shaw is a MITACS postdoctoral researcher at the University of Calgary. She completed her graduate training at the University of Saskatchewan in Exercise Physiology and Sport Nutrition with a focus on biofortification of plant based foods and iron deficiency in athletes. Keely has also been a member of the Canadian Paracycling team since 2018, winning 10 World Cup medals, 5 World Championship Medals, and a Paralympic bronze at the Tokyo Games in 2021. She is an advocate for increased visibility of women and people with impairments in sport and in research and can be found outside with her dogs or reading a book during the limited downtime she is able to secure.
